An event you don’t want to miss! Bring your family and friends to enjoy a special presentation by Eric Weihenmayer, the only blind person to climb the ‘Seven Summits,’ the tallest peak on seven continents. FREE and open to the public.
Following Eric’s presentation will be a special satellite transmission of the Centennial Celebration Show from the 100th Anniversary National Scout Jamboree in Fort AP Hill, Va shown on the big screen at the ballpark. If you can’t make the trip to the National Jamboree, this is the place to be! For the first time in the history of the Boy Scouts of America, we will be bringing the entire Scouting community together for a single, nationwide event to celebrate our organization and reflect on what it has meant to millions of America’s youth.
The Bounce Houses and a band will be performing prior to Eric’s presentation so show up around 5:00PM to enjoy the festivities. (Vendors will be available to purchase food).
A Shining Light Across America Council Shoulder Patch as part of the 100th Anniversary set collection will be available for purchase for $5.00 (you can get the CSP and a copy of Eric's book for $10).
